My passion for  the grandeur and enormity of nature's  monumental  creations and the wide open spaces where they occur  I feel can best be expressed by simplifying and re-creating what I see with realistic abstractions of nature using layers of deep, rich, velvety blacks  in contrast to the soft sensitive  grays so delicate to the touch, a delicate boldness, to communicate my deep, sensual and abiding love for nature.
I enjoy making flat art that is tactile.

Earlier in my career as a Printmaker I had a love affair with black ink and found the joy in expressing myself and the world around me in black and white. 
My most recent drawings are not just studies for prints but finished art forms.
